gotcha day! joy and sorrow intertwined...

it will take time to process the day's events.  adoption is bittersweet; our joy is at someone's sorrow.  we are thankful an tam was in a small orphanage from her first day of life.  i believe she knows love and what it feels like to be loved.  that foundation is a gift beyond measure.  right now, she is grieving, and as painful as it is to watch, that is a very good thing.  work through the emotion, sweet girl.  don't push it away.  go through it.

her orphanage 'mom' and 'dad' said goodbye to two 10 year olds they've known their whole lives.  they too are grieving, and that also was hard to witness.  but, necessary.  esther an tam and theia tam now have a hope and a future... and a family.  as i told the department of justice director in the ceremony, through my own tears, we will give our very best to her -- spiritually, physically, and academically.

when i look back over the last 365 days when life took an unexpected turn, i couldn't help but just be amazed that He brought us a new daughter.  a miracle unfolding :)
